No complaints. I walked outta there satisfied, but wanting to try something else. I will when I come back. I had the Out of Sight special. The fried cabbage side was more "out of sight" than the chopped beef sandwich, but it was good.
To me, it is one of the better barbecue places in the area. Was disappointed that the unsweetened tea was not available. Otherwise, the ribs were very good.
The food was average if not below - I had three meat plate to go,brisket was dry and tasteless sausage was below ok and so were the ribs - all these items were missing taste and love whoever cooked them. Beans were runny and once again tasteless and what struck me the most is the cole slaw - I mean even if you're an amateur cook but at least read some receipes of the google before making a slaw dish - there were just chopped mix of carrots and cabbage with very little dressing basicaly had no taste. It seemed like whoever cooked or prepped the food were people who would not care about the bbq. Shame that's in Texas.This place had No love for food.
By far best BBQ in Texas, the rest are not even in competition with them, come here often never been disappointed, have been to other BBQ places in Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, Virginia ,Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Missouri and they're still trying to beat the best there is Soulman's.
Very friendly staff and the food is great. I had the 1/2 slab ribs with green beans and mashed potatoes. Loved every bite. Definitely looking forward to stopping by again.
